Our People

The Myriad team is a highly motivated, qualified and experienced team.

We have a ‘can do’ attitude – friendly and flexible, passionate about our business and the value we provide as research professionals. We foster a culture of mutual respect and fairness within our team, and in all our client relationships.

Myriad is lead by Director, Lucy Blake, who has extensive experience in market and social research. Myriad Research has conducted thousands of projects within Tasmania and nationally since 1993.

The Myriad field interview team is skilled at effectively engaging with survey respondents at all levels within business, government, industry and the wider community.

Lucy Blake

Principal
Managing Director

With over two decades of industry experience, Lucy has extensive knowledge across a wide range of sectors having directed many large scale projects in this time.

Lucy assists organisations to action research outcomes and has specific expertise in strategic and market planning.

A graduate of the Tasmanian Leaders Program, Lucy has a background in national and international hospitality management and remains closely connected to the Tasmanian tourism industry and other leadership roles.

Lucy purchased Myriad Research on 1 September, 2021.

Megan Rozynski

Business Manager

Megan is passionate about small business and the community, and through over 20 years of small business ownership and volunteering, has built strong connections around Tasmania and beyond.

Megan has an extensive background working with business, non-for-profits, government in graphic design, marketing, events planning and business management.

Megan is a graduate of the Tasmanian Leaders Program, current Director of Marketing with DrillDance Australia and was a Board Member with Ronald McDonald House Charities VIC/TAS for five years.

Megan joined Myriad Research in May 2022.

Heather Doubleday

Research Officer

Heather’s career history in plain language, editing, research and project management complements the existing skills of the team. She has a strong commitment to managing projects efficiently, fostering improvement, and contributing to an organised and harmonious work environment.

Heather has developed her skills through many years working predominantly in the education and health sectors, and draws on a blend of creativity and strategic thinking.

She holds a Cambridge qualification in teaching English as a second language, which she studied for in France. Heather is also an editor and plain language consultant and regularly leads workshops in plain language on behalf of 26TEN. She is a strong advocate for plain language and a firm believer that information accessibility is a human right.

Heather has three adult children and now enjoys travelling, gardening and trail running. She is a regular Parkrunner and has recently completed her first ultramarathon.

Heather joined Myriad in August 2023.

Belinda Cousins

Research Support Officer

Belinda holds a Bachelor of Science with Honours from University of Tasmania and enjoys the people aspect of the job as well as data, research outcomes from the human behavioural aspect – a combination of iterating with people and the scientific aspect.

Belinda enjoys the opportunity to work with tourism and events, allied health, government and community projects.

Belinda joined Myriad Research originally in 1997 for several years as part of the field team while studying, again in 2012 and most recently from September 2021 as Research Assistant.

Amelia Newman

Finance and Admin Officer

Amelia has a background in early childhood education and holds a Diploma in Early Childhood Education and Care. She has worked closely with children and their families to develop nurturing, positive relationships, and implement quality educational programs in a variety of settings overseas and around Australia.

Amelia also spent 5 years in Western Australia at various mines sites in facilities roles, keeping the remote communities ship-shape and helping improve quality of life for residents and while they were working away from home. This adventure provided a unique experience and transferable skills. Amelia gained experience across a variety of service and operational areas and life in the far west.

Amelia is mum of two girls, who keep her very busy. Amelia brings her high level of organisational skills to the Myriad team, keeping all administrative tasks on track.

Amelia joined Myriad Research in February 2022.

Our Field Team

Our trained and experienced field interview team works across the State and has the ability to connect with respondents in a friendly, professional and meaningful way. With vast experience in face to face interviewing, telephone surveys, executive in-depth interviews, focus group recruitment, mystery shopping and other qualitative research, our team is able to provide our clients with direct customer feedback in a variety of business and consumer situations.

The field team is selected for each project with regard to relevant experience and expertise and is fully briefed by the consultants before commencing field interviewing to ensure field work is conducted to the highest possible standard.

Comprehensive audits (field observations and verifications) are conducted as part of our quality assurance protocols for each project.
